Visiting the Blacksmiths people of Bukoora

Yesterday I tried to visit the Blacksmiths people of Bukoora in Kabale district to discuss with them how they can educate the youth and the children the skills most those who are not educated as away of making them get some livelihood income.
At the end I also tried to melt some metals which I enjoyed.
According to Mr Beinagabo,he told me that they manufacture many items which include:
Spears
Knives
Sickles
Pangas
Axes to mention but a few.
He said that he earns a bout 200000 Ugx and 300000 Ugx a month which he use to sustain his family of eight children.
From this experience,I realised that using the available resources we have,we can create many job opportunities to the youth in our community.
Blacksmiths people will be among the many people who will benefit from our community craft shop program by selling their products to the tourists who come to lake Bunyonyi on their way to visit the mountain Gorillas in bwindi impenetrable national park.

Visiting The Community

This old man called Mr Kwekwe E is a man whom I have known since I was young because he used to have a bee keeping project down our home in a swamp on the showers of lake bunyonyi. We used to approach him when he would be harvesting and we would get some horney to enjoy
Last weekend I visited him a his home in our local vllage and I found him still doing hand crafts at his age of 85,this showed me inspired me never to surrender until the end,He taught me never to give up in life.
He will be one of the many old people in the community who will benefit from our community craft shop that is getting fineshed soon.

My Meeting in Kabale Town

Today I was very impressed after visiting Mrs Margaret Izongoza in kabale town and discussed how we can connect with her as a project in sharing developmental ideas concerning her projects.
Margaret 60 years have several projects which include, mushrooms growing,Piggery, chicken, cattle keeping and all these project are on one acre of land.

She has 2900 chicken,20 pigs,5 cows and two gardens of mushrooms of which she corrects more than 2millions ugx every month.
She employs more than Ten youths in kabale Town and promised to work with our project because she likes the youths developing through skills and agriculture.
She promised to train the youths in different skills and give them certificates as trained farmers in the district.

We would encourage every one to do such a good work to the communities so as to share and utilize the naturally given resources.
Big thanks to Mrs Margaret
